I had a lot of respect for Moynihan too. I think he was the last Classical Liberal in the Democrat party.

Moynihan was also the one who proposed a 200% tax on ammunition, so gun owners couldn't affort "their weekly fix of bullets."

I once read an article about the two Moynihans -- "Moynihan wet (drunk) and Moynihan dry."
