Looking for some "Mauser" stock ID help

I acquired this stock in a large lot of mixed items. It came sporting a tag stating "Mauser Stock". Really narrows it down right?

Anyhow, it measures about 45-3/8" overall length. The hand-guard is about 15-3/4" long with a cutout for a sight base. Pictures attached. Will attempt to provide any other information needed. I'd simply like to ID what it belongs to. The bottom of the stock is marked with a "5" to the front and a sideways "V" just forward of the trigger area. the top of the stock sports what looks like a "T" on the opposite side of the bolt handle. The butt plate is marked with the following top to bottom above the lower screw: "3" "K" "Germanicon Imperial Stamp". Below the lower screw is 4 digits, perhaps all or part of an S/N. There are no markings in the barrel channel or inside the stock. Thanks in advance for any help!

It looks to long to be a M24/47 stock to me.

To me it looks like a Turkishicon stock to me (likely for a M38 if I had to take a guess), as those markings look like Arabic Numerals and the butt plate is a former Gewehr 98 one as you can see the Imperial Germanicon acceptance mark on it (Turkey ended up with a fair bit of Gewehr 98s).

This is just my guess, but I am not really a Mauser guy.

You're probably right. I looked at my 38 and it's pretty close. Now I'm wondering what type of handguard I bought because it isn't Turkishicon as advertised. Handguard I bought requires a ring at the receiver. This one and the Turk 38's have the metal clips.

Thanks all for the replies... I had no idea given the buttplate had the imperial marking, but the stock didn't match anything I'm familiar with. So is a Turkishicon M38 most likely the winner?

The stock itself is excellent. The handguard has two small areas of damage, one each end.

What do these sell for on todays market?

    Thanks for the confirmation!

Not much, maybe $50 if you're lucky. You can still get the entire rifle with some surplus ammo for less than $200. I don't understand it because they are well built but I guess they just aren't acceptable to a lot of guys. Best bet might be to wait a few years when the supply has dried up and prices and interest go up.

I'd take $50 for it in a heartbeat. I'll get around to posting it up for sale one day soon. Had plenty of ideas to "keep stuff around" for when prices go up. It seems I have too much "stuff" and not enough "around" to add more to it!
