Odd 1911A1
May be purchasing an M1911 A1. I ran the serial number on the frame at Colts website and it said it was manufactured by them in 1943. However on the opposite side of the handgun it has an inspector mark of FJA. From what I've read that is an inspector mark for the Remington M1911A1. Is this legitimate or a cause of concern?

The receiver was probably made by REMINGTON RAND, s/n were duplicated by COLT.

Ok....is that a problem when it comes to value?

Remington Rand made sooooo many, and they are quite common. Therefore not nearly as valuable, and if it's a mix of Colt and Remington, it's less. Pics would sure help. Even the style of number can tell us who made it.
