I'm sure it has been asked before, but we lost our post history so perhaps I can be forgiven for asking again:

I understand that Springfield and Winchester made the milled trigger guards. Did anyone else?

When did the various makers switch to stamped guards?

And, was that because the stamped ones were easier/cheaper to make?

I've got to get the Duff book, once I recover from a rifle and ammo purchase...

Thanks in advance!

Bob
