    Unidentified Front Sight Marking

Has anyone had one of these and know who used this Type 1 Milled Front Sight and why was it Marked there ? I've been searching and cannot seem to find out anything about it, but for some reason it looks familiar. Any Help would be Greatly appreciated...TIA

I'd be shocked if it wasn't a Niedner made front sight. I've read somewhere, it seems, that some early Inland front sights were marked N.I. or perhaps vice versa.

I received this from someone who replied to me about this unusual Marking of the NI or IN between the Blade and Ear of this Front Sight. I did put this side by side by a Niedner N marked on back side where you normally see the Marking and there is a SLIGHT difference, but just thought maybe it was made earlier before Niedner started using the N and Other Markings on the back of the bottom on the Usual Spot you see Niedner Marked T1 Front Sights.

Seems like I read something in one of the very early CCNL's about NI marked sights, but am not sure.

I wonder who might have made the T S'G' sight.

Who could have been T ?

    Interesting find NTXS!

    Cheers,
