A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. Isn't that nice? Is it a reblue? What's that on the tip of the front sight?

Re-blu sadly. The front sight has a square chuck to assist the point of aim I am assuming. The nice thing is that the chunk can be removed without boogering the original form of the front sight.

Blu over evidence of pitting is the tell. A nice shooter for sure however.

Well, we can't really see that so yes, it's a nice pistol.

Corrosion pitting always seems to affect C96's at the top of the pistol grips quite badly, I guess the inevitable action of age, hand salts and poor historic cleaning..

That looks like a super pistol though, re blue or not.
