Hey All,
I picked up this gun, and the receiver and bolt looks like it has paint applied over flaking. The flaking itself looks like a previous paint finish. I have posted some photos, and welcome comments regarding any/all markings.

My question is whether paint was ever applied as a factory finish. A long time ago, I helped a friend strip paint from a Type 99 Arisakaicon. Gun was gorgeous with all its crude finishes (it was a last ditch gun). We later learned it would have been perfect ... if it had had its factory paint finish ...
