'Tonight my men and I have been through hell and back again, but the look on your faces when we let you out of the hall - we'd do it all again tomorrow.' Major Chris Keeble's words to Goose Green villagers on 29th May 1982 - 2 PARA
Very interesting material Gil, call me chicken but will let someone else try it out first
Dick
The village idiot in me can understand that a bullet may not penetrate the fabric so penetration to what's behind the fabric. However, the same village idiot still wonders what happens to the kinetic energy the bullet has remaining after hitting an elastic like fabric.
Village idiot thinks, 'This means no leaking hole in body. Only blunt force trauma and internal injury.'
Is he wrong, and why?
Guess your correct Paul if some one shot you from close range with a 45 ACP or 44 Mag its gunna bust ribs and cause a bit of internal damage one would guess, I also found this one as a guard against shanks for prison officers its pretty neat.
Paul,
As they said if two honeycomb layered sheets of graphene are subjected to immediate and high pressure the trauma is discipated!!!
As with all things body armour, it is the trauma that does the damage and the shock waves therafter. Interesting, but not one for me to stand in front of on tests!!! As they are using diamonds, one suspects, this will be beyond the price range of most Armies![]()
