Living in Australia creates enormous problems if you need that particular part to complete the restoration of a vintage service rifle. All major US suppliers who stock exactly the pieces I need cannot export to me such mundane things as a replacement stock to suit my 1918 '03 Springfield rifle (original stock past restoration) or a nickel plated oiler. I can understand the US Govt's restrictions on anything that would make a particular rifle operational, but a piece of wood in the shape of a rifle stock, and a 1903 pattern oiler....? Dearie me !!

So come on guys, what suggestions. No problems my end. We use a form from our state police called a B709A which keeps customs smiling until the cows come home. Ha Ha.

All suggestions greatly appreciated.

Try within the Commonwealth it may save you some money and I am sure the bits you need will be within it, even as close as NZ

We have that same problem in South Africa with firearm related stuff from the USA. Even a grip screw ... Makes you wonder what threat we pose.

If you place a WTB here on the applicable forum you'll likely glean from an area local and won't pay import or suffer politics at all...like Gil says.
