Together again.....
Some may of read my post regarding a scope I was trying to bring in for my No4T, the beginning of the process is in the thread link below
https://www.milsurps.com/showthread.php?t=61534
After I eventually got a refund for custom charges etc and an apology off Border force (but nothing off Royal Mail) I decided to lay low for a while, The scope I was sending to USA
was all ready to go but I was very reluctant to send before Christmas time as I'd only got the refund back in October.
So I enquired the different postal options and was about to use UPS, until I seen a van drive off with a parcel on the floor......... DHL lost some very important documents in the past so thought I'd try parcel Force, I was hoping to use Royal mail air sure which is very good but as I wanted the insurance "just in case" I had use Parcel Force.....
So I sent Ron an email and said it would be on its way and it was sent, of course I'm always checking the tracking and after two days nothing happened...... so I left it till after the weekend but nothing......
I was thinking the worse and how unlucky I am with No32 scopes, so I begun the process of trying to find out and locate it, after a few phone calls was advised to start a claim, I phoned coventry to find out if it was there but they needed an email from Liverpool to ask them to see if they could find it, so a week went by and eventually it was back on the radar.
What happened to it and if it did get checked at Border force I don't know, but not very good for the blood pressure and stress factor.
So once in the USA it didn't hang around long and I emailed Ron that an attempted delivery was made and he picked it up in the Afternoon.
A big sigh of relief from me, So finally scope No 24635 is back on its rifle...... and Ron has a very good replacement for his.
The original bracket may be out there somewhere, but for now sits in an other original.
So a big Thanks again to Ron, Colin and an old Warlord Agent, a few pics below

Very cool Geoff, a job bloody well done mate!
The exchange is a fantastic thing....

John, the exchange took under a year, patience on both sides but for me the stress levels very high, but worth it in the end, If I ever go through something like this again I'll be flying over and dropping it off and picking it up.....
You have to take your hat off to Gents like Ron who never hesitated to send it over, The fact he never knew me from Adam he wasn't a bit concerned, he was more than happy to reunite scope and rifle......
Certainly pays dividends for putting out a few lines on the matchmaking part of the forum.....

The scope looks great on your rifle, which, as I see it, is exactly where it has always belonged.
All I can say is I was happy to be a part in this.
I am posting this story on Gunboards, (my usual haunt) as well.
About the only good thing that came out of all the problems getting the scope to you is the several 'hydrostatic tests' that were done on your circulatory system from all the delivery problems indicates that you aren't likely to have a stroke anytime soon.
