I snapped a fast picture of my 1928 LithgowNo1 MkIII* last time it was out of the safe. I acquired it pretty long ago and did find a Lithgow bayonet last year. I am not an expert but I think it was rebuilt around 1943 if I remember the stamp on the stock. It has only made a couple of trips to the range. When I first got it the wood was much lighter and looked very raw. Over the years it has darkened and looks better. When I took my son to his first trip to the range, really wanted to shoot the SMLE.
