Is there any difference between standard Ross MKII and MKIII front sights?

The front sight bases are different and not interchangeable. The diameter of the Mk III barrel is larger at the muzzle than the Mk II and the method of securing it is different.
Pretty sure the front sight blades are the same. Blade heights may vary though.
Thanks
MkII ross has an inverted V sight blade and MkIII has a square post.
Not to dispute you.
The mkii ***'s and MKII ***** i have and seen, have the same blade sight, just thinner than MKIII. According to the ross book pg 241 early MKI's and MKII's had the barley comb style, later they changed to a blade style. Also, pg 398 explains conventional blade type.
I have a sporter MKII that has the inverted v as you mentioned. Pg 44 talks about the knife style front sight under the model "R" rifle.
