That, Sir, is a very nice looking rifle. I'd love to add something like that to my collection. I am curious. Does it have the trapdoor for the cleaning kit built into the end of the stock?

The Colt HBAR AR-15 is the perfect example that Colt never throws away "good" parts. The forgings for the lower were originally for the early Model 601/602 series of guns which had the removable front pivot pin. When the US military went to the captive front pivot pin so new lower forgings had to be made. so what do you do with all of raw lower 601/602 forgings? You use them in the commercial AR15 production. Same with the HBAR barrel. It was Colt's attempt at a SAW which the US military did not buy. So HBAR barrels go to a "special" version to sell to the public.

The MT6601 does have a butt trap. Wound up putting a Delta style cheek riser on this one.
