The campus where I work used to have free access to the traps that led to roofs. One day we had the Vice President of the United States
visit the adjacent conference center. Leading up to the visit the secret service required lists of all proposed staff to be on the campus during the visit and sent a list of rules for the visit that was required to be read by all who were going to be present. Those rules included no going onto the roofs.
A couple of friend of mine weren't particularly observant types. In the middle of the visit they decided to go up onto the roof of the highest tower on my building and take a peek at the brew-ha-ha next door. The results were like an episode of Bevis and ********. They went up and leaned on the rail and took in the view. Suddenly, VJ looked over at Bob and said, "Say, Bob. What's that red dot on your forehead?" About that time, the head of security stuck his head out the trap and said, "Guys! Get off the stinkin' roof NOW."
Secret Service sharp shooters are, uh, pretty sharp.

I live close to Stansted Airport and on Friday afternoon Marine One plus another Sea King flew by my house heading south in convoy with 3 Chinooks and a small British
police helicopter bringing up the rear. Then yesterday about midday I saw Airforce One take off.

They probably had to show the side of the rifle so that blue on blue didn't occur and they were clearly visible
