    Inherited M1 Winchester Carbine Questions

I inherited a M1icon Carbine. It appears to be an all original Winchester Carbine.

I’m trying to figure out what I may have and the possible value. I do not wish to sell as I plan on keeping it in the family.

I was hoping someone could help me on this.

    This is the info.

    1.Receiver serial number: 57370xx

    2. Trigger housing no numbers but has a W stamp.

    3. Bolt has a W

    4. Op Rod #7160091 with a W stamp in main channel.

    5. Barrel has a W stamp a few inches back from the muzzle.

    6. Safety is a push button.

    7. Has a crossed cannons cartouche on stock.

Rifle looks brand new with 100 metal blue. Only down side is the stock has been redone with the notch for the sling and oiler filled in. The stock has had a clear type finish put on it. The finish could be taken off by someone who new what they were doing.

sounds like its been refinished, should be parkerized, with an oil finish stock, that does hurt its value.
id say ball park value without seeing it, 750.00 to 900.00

    Thanks for the info.

Only thing that has been refinished is the stock. Metal has original parkerized finish.

Based on the serial number any idea when this carbine was manufacture??
