lee enfield no1 MKIII * restoration

I just wanted to show off my 1916 no1 MK III * I just got it all done. I found some new CNC wood that had to be hand fitted. with help from you fellows I found "Brian Dick" here in SC he put on a new old stock Indian barrel for me that I bought from sarco. I found the rifle in a pawn shop in a plastic stock and missing parts including a safety. I found all my parts at BRP corp in GA, the gun shoots very good just about 4in high at 100 yds. with my handload. I need to find a taller front sight. it is shown beside my 1954 no4 mk2 faz. I restored a while back with new old stock walnut wood and a fresh paint job. anyway thanks for setting me up with Brian Dick he is the man,,,,,,,,,,,

You have inspired me to get back to work on my 1916 SMLE and 1940 Ishapore . Bought the pair as a salvage a sporter & parts gun combo but the Ishy
parts gun is worth saving as well. The small parts are still easy to find but going up in price. The wood (save the buttstocks) are nearing unicorn territory.
Very rewarding to bring one back from the brink.

There are still sources out there to help. Bill at Alberta Gunstocks just did a Long Lee stock for me and is currently doing 2 No 1 Mk111 for me also.
Placed a order with Numrich for a bunch of No1 Mk111 parts and some No4 mk2 stocks and parts today.
I only need a Long Lee nose cap and 5 more rifles are restored.

Other than shoveling snow? No winter here yet. Patching up and matching colors on the wood is great fun. BRP and liberty tree still have a lot of parts listed as well.
