I had these out today as I am trying to form a list of missing parts for the bottom US Civil War carbine. According to reference sources, the stock band was often lost as the band was not attached to the stock as the formerly used screw would have blocked the installation and use of the added ram rod. Apparently John Fremont took a number of them to California. Any body have a spare trigger guard for the carbine?
The middle carbine is an Agustin tube lock carbine converted to percussion. Conversion was done apparently in Europe prior to them being sold to the US/Confederacy during the civil war.
The top carbine is the original Agustin tube lock carbine. A special cap is placed on a tube projecting from the side of the barrel and the top cover with transfer firing pin is lowered over the cap. The other photos show an Agustin tube lock pistol. The pistol lock is missing the tube that projects from the barrel.
