4th Armor Division probably in late 1950s or very early 1960's. Judging from the barracks building in the background probably in Germanyicon. Judging from the M1 rifles I am guessing that time frame as the 4th Armor Division was one of the first divisions in Germany to be issued the M14icon rifle.

Standard for the armored corps, you can google them and they come up right away. Don't know about issue now though... They were nice boots, but not for infantry... They go back to WW2 also. https://www.craftandtailored.com/pro...ker-boots-sz-8

They would have been as Germany was considered operational.

The 4th rotated to Germanyicon in 1957, based in and around Goeppingen and stayed through 1971 wen it was reflagged as 1st Armored.
