It's different here...I went to the local big grocery store and when I arrived at the door there were some people glutted there... I asked them what was happening and they looked at me like I was armed or known to be dangerous. I was some distance yet too. Not the same here...
    Regards, Jim

Ovidio, it's times like these that allow you to focus on what's important, not urgent. We all end up in the same manner, at some stage.

Here's where you get to choose just how many of these other new market entries you can fit in your safe... It's not really a binary choice!

And please share the piccies of the ones you've chosen!

It slowly starts to look like we're coming out of the darkest part of this situation, but, again, those in command don't seem to be able to keep a composure.
They keep bickering like ***g... I can't write it, but it's like that.
In the meantime, no-one is talking clearly to the people, and many are starting to become really restless.
Last week-end has been worse than ever with idiots going out and not respecting rules and provisions.
Next week it'll be Easter, and I can't imagine this to get any better...
So, like in many other places around the world, the so called elites are unable to fill their shoes as should be...
I heard the Queen yesterday. At least she was clear and concise. Brava.
Our MP keeps comparing himself to a certain Winston... And I can't keep from laughing...bitterly laughing...but laughing.

To keep some sanity, today I went to work with my motorbike. That was a real treat!!!
Few kms, but I really enjoyed them all, one by one!

We are starting this week as the virus is supposed to peak over the next two weeks. I am glad that every enjoyed my "Waltzing Matilda" moment. Yesterday, Sunday I did mostly reloading .223 Remington and laundry. Why do my own laundry you think well being active military I've on occasion had to wash my own clothes, uniforms and underwear and such. My wife unfortunately believes all clothes are alike. She, a number of years, took my whitey, tighties and threw them in with a bright RED shirt. You probably guess it! My whitey, tighties came out PINK! Since I do not walk on the other side of the street. I fiqured it is probably cheaper and safer if I do them myself. (PS-- I used my PINK underwear for gun cleaning rags)

Yesterday I did get a chance to try out my new Dillon RT 1500 case trimmer. What a sweet trimmer! I set mine up on a RCBS Rock Chucker press instead of reconfiguring my Dillon XL650. I recently moved to several Dillon progressive presses after years of using single reloading presses. The first one I pickup was a Dillon Square Deal at a very good price. I have found that Dillon absolutely guarantees their presses. Several of my single stage presses I gave to me son as he is just starting out in reloading.

It appears that New Orleans is becoming our more recent "hot spot". They are in my prayers. Everyone stay safe, do not mix your laundry, stay healthy.

    Sad day

Watched Goldfinger Last Nite during this perpetual isolation. They do not make movies like that anymore.

    Life goes on...
Got a nice order from a Germanicon customer for a big Norwegianicon dairy company.
    I'm breathing again...

Ive been playing with the idea of watching the movie "STONE" I even went to the drive-in in 1976 on my Z900 put her rear wheel towards the screen up on the center stand, laid back on the seat small pillow on the guages and I was all set "You know when you ride a big bike a powerful bike" in the day. I mean my 1976 Z900 developed a whopping 83 crank horse power back then!
Truth be told it was Kawasaki's jewel that motor as bullet proof as they come only the rubber frame let it down even twin discs up front stopping was questionable no abs in thos days baby.......my ZIR MkI was not much better!

Updates ~ The action against Ruby Princess is gathering momentum news is saying may be Homocide charges laid by police, another passenger from that ship died today, we lost another here in west au from a cruise ship husband could not see her he is infected and in isolation so she died with no family present only the family of nurses around her 50 years married its pretty wrenching and being repeated the world over.

We have had a few power cuts so went and bought a portable silent camouflaged 3KW Generator. Always follows a virus or disease............power or utility cuts, or even petrol rationing.
Now the hard part, finding a space for the switching unit next to the fuse box, and placing a discreet caravan plug on the outside wall to hook up to.
Bought it thinking it was Germanicon but made in China

Hello world! I have been living in Portland Oregon last few years. I saw it coming soon as it hit the news during the holidays. We talked about it, my wife went out to the Asian grocery and laid in some supplies including a couple big bags of rice. Good thing I like rice!

I am a member of the city's volunteer neighborhood emergency response team (NET) and did raise a concern up the chain of command. The city, county and state convened an emergency response on 3/12 and I volunteered during the setup of the command center. At that time there were fewer than ten cases in the state. They all took it pretty seriously and there was not politics involved (surprisingly). I took notes in meetings and typed them up - everything is being recorded. Then they decided to send the over-60 volunteers home. Oh well.

The governor declared a state of emergency and closed the schools and parks right away, plus large gatherings of people. The next week the quarantine got stiffer and by week two all non-essential businesses were locked down. People have been pretty much complying, at least in Portland. As of now the disease is manageable, with around 1100 cases statewide and 30 deaths. The whole idea was to slow down the rate of infection so everyone did not get sick at the same time. The state was able to lend 140 ventilators to New York City last week because we had some to spare.

So far it seems to be working. You can still buy groceries, utility service is uninterrupted, some people are driving. On the rare sunny days people have come out on the street, whole families. They all stay clear of each other. All the bars, restaurants, clubs, movie theaters, bookstores, etc are closed down except for take-out service. I ride down to the Laurelwood pub, wave at someone through the window. They come out and sell me a 32 oz. can of their IPA for $7.00. (They can it on the spot)

My wife is staying inside writing her memoirs she says. I've been doing the errands also getting the garden in shape for the summer, making bicycles a little. Supposedly the next 10 days will show us whether we have dodged the bullet.

    jn

    All the best Jon.
You're already lucky enough that politicians did not get involved, or not too much as it seems.
We have too many of them, and they are all talking without knowing what they're talking about.
An that is a real problem, believe me...

Stay safe and see you, with all the others, on the other side of this...

After weeks of "house arrest" it is really starting to get boring.
