L81 trigger guard

Hi, new here....

I have an L81 stock that I got from OWS, for a heavy barreled M98 project. I'm not trying to build a clone, but just complete the stock and get my barreled action installed in it. I have everything but the single shot trigger guard. I've had no luck finding one, so I though't I'd join and see if anyone has a lead on one.

In the meantime, I took one of those M98 hinged TG castings that Sarco had a while back, and cut that down and filed to fit...well almost fit. The casting is poor and uneven, so I need to build up the flat side that mates to the stock, and then more filing to do on it for it to sit properly and have enough clearance for the trigger, which currently makes contact with the bow of the TG, to the point the trigger doesn't actuate.

I'll fix it up and make due with that for now, but I'm on the hunt for an original. Any leads would be appreciated!

I should add....If anyone had a lead on an M82 stock, I'd be interested in that too...Apparently a few months before I bought my L81 stock from OWS, they had some L82 stocks that sold out...one of those would be ideal.

Numrich had m81 TG.

If your rifle has a mag well, just inlet the stock for mag well.

When did Numrich have the TG? I've been looking everywhere over the last 4 months and haven't seen any.

As far as inletting my L81 stock to accept the trigger guard...yes, I am capable of doing that, but I don't want to. I'd rather find teh correct L81 trigger guard, or locate an L82 stock.

I actually did track down a couple of L81 trigger guards, but they have been modified (trigger slot opened up), and are pricey...and in the UK. With postage, they'll be around $100, assuming the company will even ship them to the US...

Still looking....I have my homemade TG to use in the mean time, wrks fine, I just want an original.

Fwiw, it is the same TG, it has just had the front tang shortened to fit under the round bushing.

But it's not the same. The trigger bow might be the same shape, that's about it. Aside from the front needing to be cut of and milled/filed to fit under the round bushing, the rear screw hole also needs to be drilled and countersunk for the rear action screw.
