    1903 Front Band

    Hi
In my quest to restore my sporterized Rem 1903. The front band was missing . Is removal of the front sight necessary? Seems it just dosen't slip over the blade .

The front sight movable stud has to be removed, but not the base (i.e., front sight collar).

    Good Luck!
