Where to find parts
Hello
I am hoping for a bit of help, I've got a Mk II with Mk III rear sight from a buddy, he's really keen on getting it back to original configuration. It's been duffle cut, so everything forward of the middle band is missing, the front sight hood is gone, the spring for the ejector has deteriorated, and the lug for the thimble adjustment of the rear sight has sheared off.
I know Numrich has some parts, but not the ones I'm looking for, and they don't seem to like shipping to Canada
. I'm quite certain I'm not the only Canadian collector dealing with these problems. Does anyone have any recommendations for me?
Thank you

So this is a Mk.II with a later screwed-on charger bridge?

No it should be a Mk II with a sheet metal covered adjustable rearsight on the barrel--the Mk III, not to be confused with the rearsight for the Mk III Ross which was a receiver mounted battle sight. So you need an ejector spring and parts for the sight. I might have those. I may have a spare front band but if not then altadiver can make you one and a hood too.

Also Looking For Parts
Sirs,
I'm a longtime lurker on these threads, but with my newly-acquired project, I wanted to finally say hello and ask a question or two.
I recently picked up a Mk II at a show. It was in really bad shape, but the bolt was complete and functional.
I don't have much literature on the Ross, but to me, it looks like one of those sportered rifles with the shortened barrel shoulder. Somebody milled an axial dovetail into the receiver ring and drove a fixed rear sight into it; I figure the receiver is a goner, so I'm taking steps to buy another. The immediate problem I will soon have is that I don't really want the shortened barrel. If I could find an original barrel, I believe I could get this old boy off the mat and on the range.
I read an older thread by Mr. Flying Pig who said he had had some success figuring out how to cut 3 TPI on a barrel shank. I was hoping to find out if he'd made any progress and/or if someone might know who I can contact to discuss making or buying a barrel. My lathe can only go up to 5 TPI, so I need a start in the right direction.
I know without a doubt this project will not ever be cost effective. But, this is my hobby and I will happily trudge on.
Thanks and Best Regards,
Bob aka pennrg

Thanks, Drew!
Thanks to Drew and some parts he had, my 1905 started its journey back to full functionality yesterday.
It's not perfect - and probably never will be - but I'm real happy with it.
