Have a question regarding POI at 100 yards when shooting a correctly zeroed No4 Mk1, using the 300 yard flip sight.
Based on information found in REME Training School info, if properly zeroed the POI for my rifle should be 6" > POA WITH bayonet mounted.
My 1943 Maltby currently shoots a 3" group, approx 9" above point of aim on the 100 yard range using the 300 yard sight with bayonet NOT mounted. The 303 ammunition I use is made by MEN, which I understand was built to Britishmilitary specifications.
I plan on mounting a spike bayonet and test firing the rifle next week before I make any front sight changes to lower POI.
My question is, does anyone have any experience with how far mounting the bayonet typically lowers POI?
Thanks,
