Can the OP post any better pics and some close ups, also of the scabbard, shame the condition of the blade, handle looks good but need close up. I know a man who could possibly sort the blade if its the real deal, if you can get better pics.

I passed on a similar condition knife a few weeks back, blade was too far gone unfortunately,
it would of been a handle for £180, daft when you can pick up a 2nd pattern knife for £400

Nice Wilkinson 2nd pattern - B2 and Broad Arrow markings are correct for this knife.
This pattern was made between 12th of August 1941 until the end of 1943.
Blade looks pitted - hopefully just dirty.
Even pitted those are valuable pieces now.
    $400-$500 and up over here.

    Here's some info: http://www.gotavapen.se/gota/artikla..._knife_p22.htm

    Nice find.

    Nice find.
A different case here I'm afraid when it comes to condition, Its all very well paying a high premium for a something that requires restoration, but when the time comes to sell no one wants it, or the price is a fraction of a good example.

Most stuff like the one here are striped for spares or used to make a complete knife. I've spoke to the owner and await further pictures, to confirm if its legit and if the blade can be saved.

I've been asked to bring a few bayonets (hooked quillion ) to a few shows for interested parties in the past, but they stick there nose up as they are not mint examples........ I know what can be repaired and what cant be regarding knives , bayonets etc........ even blades like the one here can be brought back to a reasonable condition without too much removal of steel etc, but in some cases its just not possible and at the end of the day the blade is a quite an important part of a knife or bayonet.......... nothing worse than seeing something that is a very good example until its removed from the scabbard and the blade resembles a welding rod.
