Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. When it was ftr in 62 the British icon

baked on Suncorite black paint on her and updated the barrel cam lock up service and updated hammer and extractor. I shot it it and she ran perfect with great accuracy.

Nice Pistol, I have one but in original early 1945 issued condition.

Are the two mags Inglis stamped, if so rare over here.

Many had their barrels replaced as well, either a new barrel from Canadian icon

Arsenals Ltd at Longbranch, Ontario, or a re-used and force-matched original barrel.

That was part of the program's undoing...it turned out that a replacement CAL barrel cost more than a complete new pistol from FN.
