    My new Ross MkII 5*

I thought I'd post my latest acquisition. A lovely Ross MkII 5* sporter. The stock stamps and cartouches have survived the years thankfully.
My reading of them suggests it was issued to the 9th Bn - Light Alberta Horse? Not sure what the "LL" represents though.
Then issued to the 7th Bn - BC Regiment? Presumably at Valcartier or Salisbury Plain?

    What do people think?

I hope to sensitively restore the forestock, as I can do a duffel cut under the band, and I've managed to find a bayonet band.
    Cheers,
    Burt
Edit - I've just realized the the 9/11 is probably a date. So not issued to South AB Light Horse.

Congratulations, a nice self bought Christmas present - definitely well worth resurrecting.

The bayonet band arrived and the forestock front has been hand carved and stained to match.

My next challenge is getting the sight base off, so I can assemble.
    Cheers,
    Burton
