Question about S'G' 1.82 million serial number carbines

Can anyone educate me on the correct spring guide rod style for S'G' carbines?

Specifically, I'm wondering when was the transition over to flat end from pointed end styles?

What style should a 1.82 or1.83 million have?

    Thanks!

I have an S'G' 1.829M with original parts. It has the flat tip on the spring guide rod. Hope that helps! - Bob

Don't really think that there was a transition as it is not a case of an early or late design but rather how a particular sub-contractor made the guide rod, believe that both types were likely used throughout S'G' production.
For instance, a mix of flat and pointed tip were used during Irwin Pedersen's production, this was due to two different sub-contractors supplying the spring guide rods (Torrington Company and Union Hardware Company).
S'G' also had two different subs providing guide rods to them (Charles Marti Inc and Union Hardware)

I've never seen an S'G' in the flesh. But being built by Inland (in a round about way) is it safe to assume that it is very close to an Inland ? I think it probably is a different animal altogether. Your thoughts?

    DaveHH,
My first stand out thoughts about differences would be the S'G's left rear receiver leg detail and use of the free barrel issue program.
