Or use a spring from a pen. Interestingly, two CAI stamped rifles I bought both had the modified ejectors in them.

The ones for the Remington 30 work just fine. I think they are still available at Nurmrich? But as said a ball point pen spring and the broken ejector will work for most shooting.

Simple mod you can do yourself with a small spring and Dremel cut off wheel. I have done many.

I bought a 1917 Eddystone years ago that came with 2 government issue replacement ejector springs installed. These are discussed in the C. R. Stratton book page 42.

I had not noticed that before.
That may throw light on a shipment of 'M1917 Ejectors, old style' to Britain, which I have found mention of in official records.

FM23-6 edn of 28 October 1943 makes reference to this ejector, but the one of Aug 3 1942 does not.
