I recently acquired a 1939(?) Romanian contract VZ24. After the restoration was complete (cleaning out tons of crud and a lot of TLC), everything seemed to work great including a very smooth bolt. Unfortunately, when it got to the range, it didn't work. When the trigger is pulled, the chambered round won't fire. Upon examination, the rounds have a light strike mark on the primer. I believe the problem is with the firing pin, the firing pin spring or both. Finding a VZ24 specific firing pin and spring has been a challenge. Can I use a Kar98kicon or M48 firing pin/spring? Thank you for advice and recommendations.
