    Reproduction of "De Lisle" Carbine

Already almost four years ago I was on the lookout for reproductions of the De Lisle Carbines. After research on the various companies doing this I ended up with the final recommendation of T W Chamber & Co of Dingwall in UK for having been told they have the longest experience and are of the highest quality and most exact replicas.

After having gotten in contact with them I learnt that they for their home market modify them in the way that the barrels are made longer under the barrel sleeve to under all circumstances comply with Britishicon gun laws. For not being British I requested them for original barrel length - what ended up in requiring me to order a certain quantity of those, since they were of a "special order". Since one friend was in from the beginning and in the meantime another one joined it was always a look forward to getting those.

Of course getting those made upon my special requirements resulted in having to wait for them to be actually produced as well. Also the export took way longer than it should. However, finally after along waiting period I got ahold of those last week.

Without having had the chance to test fire one yet, already having those in hands the quality was highly impressive. So impressive, that I decided that I'd be doing these pictures and share them here with you in order to show the excellent work of this company for all to see. A shooting report will follow once I managed to take it to the range.

The whole rifle is set up based on a SMLE action. Interestingly they seem to take whatever is on stock, could had been a commercial action too - so identical to the mixture one can find with original rifles. Each rifle comes with two magazines as standard.

If someone else is looking for such an excellent piece, I can only recommend to message them at sales@gunspares.co.uk. Feel free to ask me questions on my rifle, in case there is something I missed to mention I'll try to answer it as good as I can.

Edit: had to re-upload pictures since seems they were lost during typing the text..
