    2 Garands in Denmark

    Hi All
I am from Denmarkicon and I want to show my 2 M1icon Garand and ask a few questions.
I have Own both from about 1995-1996. Back then I dident know mutch about M1s
Except I have one when I was a soldier in the Danish Army 1980-1981. first in 2005 I dicided
to learn more and start looking for a Book. I found an Email on the internet and send a mail
To a guy I am sure you all know about: Bruce N Canfield and ask him where i coult buy his book. He asked why I want his book fore, He could see I was from Denmark and the book was mostly for collectors and therefore most interesting for US marked. I told him about my two Garands and said I want to learn more about them. I said He will be happy to send it Him self.
    See Pictures.
Now the Garands: Top One IHC Gab Letter serial:4643296

Stock canal date 1153 outside sanded with a P in a cirkel. no other stamps wisible.
Rear sight: Elevation IHC and hex with W. Windage Only DRC? And here come my first question. could it be correct for these rifle? I have seen most market both DRC and IHC

I have no Clue about this rifles history. I bought it in 1995 include A M1 carbine (Indland 1944) In original configuration. and a Mosin Nagant M91/30 in nice condition. price: 6000 DKR (About $ 800)

The Whole rifle Sems in great condition with great bore and the only Maby wrong part sems to bee the windage knob. Should I change it or leave it?

Remmber both rifles are bought before the Internet where acces to parts was not easy in Europe.

Next Riffle bottom 1942 Springfield Serial: 871731 werry end of September 1942
    Former Danish Army rifle.

Barrel: VAR Barrel in Good condition.
    Oprod: Uncut SA 3 D35382
    Bolt: D28287-12 SA Heat lot:RE6B
Triggergroup. rev 7 with all original parts ( werry short lived version but correct for the rifle)
    Gascylinde :Narow base
    rear Sight: Lockbar type 2
Stock: Walnut but sanded. sems too be correct US stock
    Gasscrew: New type with valve.
The rifle came with a groved lower band. it is the only thing i have replaced. I maby switch it back on. It looks cool. and are a part om the rifles history

This rifle was bought directly from the Danish Army in 1996. so all changes exept the lower band ( and Sling) is done in military service (US or Danish). It seems that many parts in this rifle had survived untouhed.
