This appears to be training but can I ask why he is wearing en-bloc bandoliers and not BAR mag ones plus it appears there is no mag in the weapon, shiny boots but!
As Jim has told us earlier that allot of GI's got rid of the bi-pod as the weapon was heavy enough.

Also the carrying handle started to become issue during the Korean War. The BAR man always had the BAR belt with the 20rd magazines,

Interesting fact that during the 1920's both 30 rd and 40 rd magazines were developed for the BAR for anti aircraft but discarded and destroyed during the 1930's

This has to be a reenactor. Like Bear says, so clean and shiny and the new gear. Then there's the proof... Ww2 usarmy reenactment group dressed hi-res stock photography and images - Alamy
