Spare Valve Case

I have this spare valve case which I assume to be post WW2 due to most of the valves being small sized. The case appears to be made out of aluminium.So far I haven't been able to identify exactly what piece of equipment it is a spare valve case for. Can anyone confirm what it is a spare valve case for, please? Many thanks.
