A family friend who had known Flynn as a child through his parents told us that Flynn had died in the presence of a young woman while engaging in extracurricular adventure.

A little known fact about Erroll Flynn is that for his swashbuckler movies like "Captain Blood" and "The Sea Hawk" he had small springboards strategically placed on the ship's deck during filming to aid him in his quick, sprightly moves during his sword fight scenes.
