OT Vessel North Wind WWII
I am looking for a picture of a vessel that my grandfather, Aaron E. "Buzzy" Morrison, US Navy, was on during WWII. It's name was the North Wind, it sank on December 14th, 1944, off Alaska when it struck an iceburg. My grandfather was one of the few that was able to walk after they were rescued hours later because he was on night watch and had his coat on. The ship was a total loss but no crew were lost. I have little information on it other then it was a merchant marine vessel. My grandfather passed away on January 15th, 2001. Another great hero passed on that day, he inspired so much in me. I joined the USAF because I was so very proud of his service for our country while in the US Navy. Any help locating a picture of the North Wind would be greatly appreciated. Thank You
Best Regards
Lisa

Lisa, I was unable to find a picture but found a mention HERE . If you could find the name of the line he served with, that would help drill down.
