    Canadian Owen tests 1941

Found an interesting vid on the Utuber. Perhaps one of you more tech savvy gents can put it up for general perusal if you see fit. It's called "Service tests of modern sub machine guns (1941) and other Historic Films on the Owen gun (1940's)". It was posted up by UoNCC some threes ago.

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. Interesting 20 minutes of viewing there. I only remember our Owens with the sletonised butts and bayonet mounts. Later versions. By '68 or so they'd all gone except for some stragglers, so said, in the CMF/TA armouries. Nice to see.....

I assume the Lanchester wasn't trialed as it was a RN and RAF weapon?
