    1911 and SRS Question

Would non military Springfield 1911 pistols be in the SRS? I ask as I have a friend who started the steel challenge matches in CA (won many of them) who has gold plated versions of the competitive 1911 pistols. Only 5 were made, Springfield President Tom Reese kept #2, my friend has the other 4. Just curious if special pistols like these would be in the SRS.

    Any info is appreciated.
