Ross rifle rear sight

While perusing Gunbroker auctions I found a commercial Ross 1905 for sale with a sight I was unfamiliar with. I had a good look through the chapter on rear sights in the Ross Rifle Story and didn't find any description of this particular sight although it shares a feature of the "Sight Bridge" manufactured by the Canada Tool and Specialty Company of New Glasgow, N.S. I'm interested in hearing if anyone is familiar with this sight.

That’s a very bizarre sight Sapper. Looks to be gunsmith built to me, but I e been wrong before. Very interesting piece!

I don't think it's factory anything either. Honestly looks like something that was built on the east coast of Canada.

Yup. In the U.S. we have Bubba, in Canada we have the B'ys. There's a sea shanty in there somewhere:
