Here are some photos of my three digit serial numbered Winchester M1 Rifle. Purchase from thep sprin CMP Auction in 2011. Stock is cartouched WRA RS and has the solid butt plate and keystone & comp spring

My eyes caught the shoes those young men are wearing. With rationing of most everything including leather I’d guess one pair of shoes at a time had to do. Same pair at work, out on the town and on Sundays. My thoughts based on what my father used to talk about his experiences in the 30’s and 40’s. Thoughts?
