    early US 7,62x51 mm variations

    Some interesting variations and bullets were tested in the early pre NATO period and into the regular adoption period.

    My photos from left to right:

    1. L C 53 ball steel case
    2. L C 54 A P
    3. WCC 53 22 cal bullet on necked down 7,62 case
    4. R A 58 helicopter m/g red wax tip tracer
    5. WRA 59 green tip duplex (two bullets)
    6. F A 65 white tip low recoil (M14icon rifle)
    7, F A 63 frangible

    22/243 and 240 Page

    Both the 22/243 and Page 240 are wildcats.

    The 22/243 uses 224 dia bullets

    the 240 Page (from Field & Stream gun editor Warren Page) used 7,62x49 cases
    to form the 240 Page
