    German G1 FN,s

I have 2 Germanicon FN manufactured G1's. Both have wooden butt stocks with metal hanguards with horizontal ribs, and the folding bipods. One rifle has a synthetic pistol grip the other has a wooden pistol grip. the wood griped one has an X carved in it , does that stand for what I think it does??? and does anybody know the production periods of the wooden grip?

IIRC, they came new with wood that would be replaced with synthetic as needed.

"...has an X carved in it...does that stand for what I think it does???..." What do you think it means? A big 'X'? Likely put there by some troopie looking for a better grip. Wood gets slippery when it's wet and icy. Gloves don't always help.
    Spelling and Grammar count!

Most went to Turkeyicon, where they were beaten up, carved up and the finish worn off.
