    French M1 Helmet Shell

This is my early Frenchicon M1icon style helmet shell, M51 if you prefer, in unissued condition. It does have a certain amount of "patina" due to 70+ years of storage. I do suspect that it is made of a slightly thinner gauge metal than it's US counterpart but I haven't measured it to confirm this.
