Unmarked cut-down Garand bayonets

I have seen several of these lately at auctions. Are these Korean produced? Did any of the US manufactured cut-down bayos used on the Garand (M1905s, M1942s) not have markings?

Blockhead-They are Korean cut-downs. Bought a couple about 10 yrs ago still in the white/foil wrappers. Korean writing/stock no. all over. One still had 1918 on the blade. Paid $5 each. Later picked up the cut-down M3/M7 scabbards for about the same price. Scabbards were sheet metal wrapped w/rivets ,painted OD. Some were ground very well like an M4 bayonet, most are like a bad butter knife, re-parked. Good for parts, and a variation example. SKIP

And I saw one at a gunshow yesterday. The guy wanted $85 for it!!! I couldn't believe it.

The Koreans removed the marks during the conversion. All normal US production was marked, although there are M1 bayonets around that are unmarked, which are believed to be German manufacture.

Otto at ebayonet.com still has these for sale in the original packaging

The Koreans cut them down so they would fit the M8A1 series of scabbards. The M7 scabbards were in short supply.

If I recall they also had to grind them down because the standard blade was too thick for the M8A1's, thus the markings were removed.
