Jungle carbine barrel up pressure questions
I'm straightening up a pair of No5's and both seem to have the No4 style up pressure, is that correct? I though these were floating barrels, or perhaps they're floating in the no4 style, floated but with front contact to create that up pressure?
Also, both of them have No1mk3 type magazines with the full length spine, is there some odd chance this is correct, or do I just happen to have a pair of rifles that have the wrong mags? The mags slide in and out perfectly well, no issues there.
thanks Rjw

The barrel is supposed to be free-floated, and the magazines are supposed to be standard No4 items (factory-numbered to the rifle by both Fazakerley and BSA).
Some No5s shoot ok with No4-style bedding, but most seem to benefit from free-floating barrels.

Oh no! I fear that you may be starting another: "Do No.5s shoot OK?" debate.
