    Bolt marking

My winchester SN 12604XX has a bolt with drawing number D28287-12SA heat code W10Band a diamond. does that mean it is a Springfield bolt or if not how do I tell a win from a spfd?. my weapon in basic training was a garand but it was a weapon not something to collect so I dont know much about part markings.

Mid-war(WWII) Springfield bolt, yes. Probably the most common dash number.

The SA at the end of the bolt part number (D28287-12SA) = Springfield Armory

    bolt

thanks for the info , it seems like I have a winchester receiver with the rest of the weapon being springfield and the barrel is a replacement LMR , sounds like a shooter. got it from DCM in 1992 for $250 so cant complain
