    Ammo questions

Just scored 350 rnds of 303 and would like to know a few things.

I plan on shooting it up in my new-to-me 1914 #1 Mk3 unless I shouldn't for any reason...

180 rds "RG 50 7" Surplus on clips in bandoliers
50 rds "RG 44 VII" Loose Surplus
64 rds 1965 Mk 7 Pakistan 174-grain lead core FMJ
20 rds Sellier & Bellot FMJ
36 rds PMP 174 gr FJBT

    Corrosive or non corrosive?
    Box or Berdon?
    Brass reloadable?

I currently do not reload, but I plan to it so I keep my brass.

New to the Enfield / mil surp thing, which I hope explains my ignorance...

    Thanks,
    Sean

I think the S&B and PMP are non-corrosive, all the others are. Clean accordingly. Those two are probably both reloadable Boxer also.

    Dont reload the S&B.
By the second reload (3rd firing) it will either split or have a case-head seperation.

It must be the thinnest brass in the world !

If you have a set of calipers check the rim thickness on the RG and compare it to the S&B - I'll bet there is 4 thou difference (S&B thinner)
Mine are not the best, but they are not too bad. I can think of lots of Enfields I'd rather have but instead of constantly striving for more, sometimes it's good to be satisfied with what one has...

    So...

The RG and Paki stuff is corrosive.
The S&B and PMP is non corrosive.
Only the PMP brass is worth saving for reloading.

    Sum it up fairly well?

    Thanks,
    Sean

Bit of advice from the Army smac. Treat ALL ammunition as both corrosive AND errosive

The S&B will almost certainly have steel jackets. All the stuff from them that I have seen has.

It's all garbage. I will do You the favor of disposing of it for You....LOL Just watched a guy pay $50 US for a bandy of 1945 GB Mark 7. It was all clean, but I remember buying these for $5.00. Guess I picked the wrong time to start collecting .303's again....

BTW..S&B is ok. I have been having great luck with Privi brass. seems thick like Federal brass. No issues with squashed necks or case head seperation. I would shoot once and the recycle.

Well I gave $135 for everything above. I'm new to this, but I think that was a good deal now a days...
