As manufactured 1908 Brazilians had bright or ''in the white'' bolts and receivers and it's my understanding those found with blued receivers have been through a rebuild at some point.

I built a Cavalry Carbine off a 1908 DWM Brazilianicon action with an Argentine 1909 Carbine barrel & stock, and I'm getting 1" groups @ 50 yds with iron sights. I'm very happy with it.
A 1908 Brazilian in 7x57 Mauser should be an outstanding shooter, depending on condition (of course)
