I acquired a Jungle Carbine last year at a local pawn shop for $150. It was in pretty sad shape and since someone had drilled and tapped it for a scope I figured I couldn't hurt it by attempting to refinish it. I have reblued guns and refinished stocks before, but had never tried parkerizing. So, this was my first attempt.
I got a nice medium grey color (not sure if that was close to the original) and overall it is pretty consistent. It actually looks lighter in the photos that in person because I had to use flash.
Now that it looks better I can't wait to fire it.
