Hi All,
Ran into a BYF 45 in my travels. Haven't got any pix, but seems like a period correct piece. Only minus (other than it being late war manufacture) is a coat of Bubba-goo high gloss finish, repleat with some runs in it. (unless they really did coat them with something like that, but I doubt it.)

Seems to have a solid birch stock, as opposed to laminated, and has the diassembly washer in the stock. So not exactly a Kriegsmodel.

Any thoughts on what the pricing should be like?

Anything to carefully look for given that it's late war manufacture? (I'm thinking both safety and accurracy issues. Other shortcuts to look for?)

Looks to be a CAI import, if that matters.

Would like to have a decent 98, but not sure if I should just look for a earlier year of manufacture?
