Folks!
I have a 1942 Lee Enfield mk 1/2, that was made as Mk1 in Maltby & then turned into a MK2 in Fazerkerly.
Though it's in pretty good condition...it's a wartime product with all that entails.
The one question I have is when shooting at 100m I find that for the first 4 or 5 shots it's pretty accurate (for a wartime produced Enfield) but as the barrel warms up the shots open up significantly.
Is this a sign that the bore is on the way out...or is this just the way these rifles are?
I have only ever used home loads...but I have no idea what was used before I got it 7 or 8 years ago.
Cheers
John
